MtG Gatecrash

A recently released image from the 'Gatecrash' set of Magic the Gathering. Terrific fun to do. Some action, lighting and material effects, reflective surfaces and a little design work on the Golem. All things that I enjoy very much.

Quite a few people have mentioned that they like the fire in this. I did enjoy painting it, it was a challenge. I found some images of Flamethrowers that helped immensely.

  1. Heh, I had made a painting that required me to look up flamethrowers, also. At the end, I think I didn't need it, and I'm also not sure at how well I rendered it, but it was nice to have the reference. It'll definitely be something I go back to for a better shot of it.
